Trenton, NJ – A winter storm is set to blanket New Jersey with snow Sunday night into Monday, creating hazardous travel conditions along the I-95 corridor and surrounding areas. Forecasters are predicting 4-6 inches of snow in most areas, with southern coastal regions possibly seeing even higher totals.

According to the National Weather Service in Mount Holly, snow will begin late Sunday night and intensify early Monday morning, impacting commutes and travel plans. A Winter Storm Watch is in effect for much of the region, including Trenton, Atlantic City, and Camden. Residents are urged to prepare for delays and use extreme caution if travel is unavoidable.

Sunday will bring mostly sunny skies and a high of 34°F, but conditions will deteriorate overnight as temperatures drop to 26°F. Snow will spread across the region after midnight, with heavy accumulations expected during the early morning hours Monday. The storm is likely to taper off by Monday evening, though icy patches on roadways and sidewalks may linger.

Emergency officials recommend stocking up on essential supplies, including food, water, and batteries, ahead of the storm. Motorists should carry emergency kits and plan for possible road closures or delays. Those along coastal areas should prepare for strong winds and reduced visibility during snowfall.

The rest of the week brings a mix of winter conditions. Tuesday will be sunny with a high near 32°F, while temperatures drop to 21°F Tuesday night. By midweek, highs in the 30s and sunny skies are expected, giving residents time to recover from the storm’s impact.

Stay tuned for updates on changing conditions and take steps now to prepare for the storm’s arrival.
