Manchester, NH – Rain will drench southern and central New Hampshire through Tuesday night, with up to 2 inches possible and minor flooding in flood-prone spots around Manchester.

According to the National Weather Service in Gray, Maine, a slow-moving storm system is bringing rounds of showers and embedded downpours through at least Wednesday morning. Rain began overnight and will continue with 90% chances each day into Tuesday night. The heaviest periods of rain may lead to water pooling on roads and flooding in low-lying areas such as parts of I-293 and secondary roads near the Merrimack River.

Winds will gust up to 25 mph on Monday, adding to travel difficulties during the afternoon commute. Repeating showers over the same areas could saturate soils quickly. Drivers should avoid flooded roadways and plan for reduced visibility.

Tuesday brings cooler temperatures with a high near 60°F and sustained rain likely through the evening. Showers will taper Wednesday, but the area will remain mostly cloudy with a 70% rain chance.

Five-Day Manchester Outlook:

  • Tuesday: Rain likely, high 60°F. Calm winds early.
  • Wednesday: Showers likely, high near 68°F.
  • Thursday: Partial clearing with a high of 67°F. 30% rain chance.
  • Friday: Cooler, mostly cloudy with spot showers. High near 54°F.
  • Saturday: Partly cloudy, dry with a high near 63°F.
