Boston, MA – A cool night is setting in across New England, with temperatures expected to dip to 50°F in Hartford, Providence, and Worcester, making for a crisp end to Memorial Day weekend.

According to the National Weather Service in Boston, skies will remain mostly clear with a few high clouds drifting through. Overnight lows will range from the upper 40s in areas like Greenfield to the mid-50s closer to New Haven and the Connecticut coastline.

In Massachusetts, Boston will hold steady around 57°F, while Springfield, Plymouth, and New Bedford will hover near the 50°F mark. The Berkshires will feel chillier, with Pittsfield bottoming out around 52°F. Southeastern coastal towns, including Hyannis and Nantucket, will remain slightly milder in the low 50s thanks to ocean influence.

Drivers heading out early Tuesday should watch for patchy fog in low-lying areas, especially along I-91 near Springfield and I-84 near Waterbury. Residents are advised to keep windows closed overnight to retain indoor warmth and reduce humidity buildup.

Cool conditions will persist into the early morning hours, with warmer, sunnier weather expected by midday Tuesday. The National Weather Service has not issued any advisories but will continue monitoring for overnight fog development.
