Las Vegas, Nevada – Gusty winds could stir up dust and impact outdoor plans across Las Vegas starting Friday morning, with wind gusts peaking over 30 mph through Saturday evening.

According to the National Weather Service in Las Vegas, Friday will be sunny and breezy, with south-southwest winds increasing to 17 to 22 mph by the afternoon. Gusts could reach as high as 32 mph. Saturday brings more of the same, with a high near 74°F and wind gusts possibly topping 31 mph before tapering off after sunset.

The strongest winds are expected during the afternoon hours, especially across open desert areas and elevated roadways like U.S. Route 95 and the I-15 corridor. Drivers should remain cautious of sudden gusts and blowing debris. Residents are advised to secure loose outdoor items and consider limiting outdoor activity during peak wind hours.

Despite the breezy conditions, skies will stay mostly clear through Monday, with highs ranging from the low 70s to 80°F and overnight lows in the 50s. No rain is expected during this period, and air quality may fluctuate due to localized dust.

Wind gusts will ease by Sunday, but dry and sunny conditions will continue through early next week.
