Reno, Nevada – Northern Nevada is heating up fast as Reno braces for temperatures near 94°F by Monday, with no rain in sight and a string of sunny, dry days stretching through the end of the workweek.
According to the National Weather Service in Reno, daily highs will steadily rise from 87°F Saturday to 94°F Monday. Nighttime lows will remain mild, hovering in the upper 50s to low 60s. Winds will be light, generally under 5 mph, offering little relief from the daytime heat.
The extended dry pattern and clear skies will increase fire danger across the region, especially in areas with dry brush and low humidity. Residents around I-580 and neighborhoods including Sparks, Lemmon Valley, and Spanish Springs should limit outdoor burning and use caution with power tools and grills.
With no rain forecast and temperatures remaining above seasonal norms, residents are urged to stay hydrated, check on vulnerable neighbors, and avoid strenuous outdoor activity during peak heat hours (2–6 p.m.).
This warming trend is expected to continue through at least Friday. Updates will follow if a Heat Advisory is issued early next week.
