Elko, NV – A winter weather advisory remains in effect for multiple counties in northern and central Nevada, with snowfall expected to impact road conditions through Friday evening.

According to the National Weather Service in Elko, snowfall will continue across White Pine, Elko, Eureka, Humboldt, and Nye counties, with additional accumulations of up to 4 inches in higher elevations. The advisory remains in place until 6 PM PST Friday.

Motorists should prepare for slippery roads and reduced visibility, particularly in the morning and evening commutes. Areas above 5,500 to 6,000 feet will see the most significant snowfall, affecting key travel routes in Elko, Tonopah, and Duckwater.

Elko & Eureka Counties: Up to 4 inches of snow expected, affecting Elko, Spring Creek, and Lamoille.

Nye County: Snowfall above 6,000 feet could bring up to 3 inches in Tonopah and Manhattan.

Humboldt County: Travel through Winnemucca and Valmy may be hazardous due to accumulating snow.
