Heavier snow is forecast for the Greater Lake Tahoe area, where a Winter Storm Warning will remain active through 4 a.m. Wednesday. Travelers should anticipate reduced visibility and slick conditions during peak storm hours.

Today, rain and snow showers are likely between 10 a.m. and 1 p.m., with a high near 48 degrees in Reno. Tonight, temperatures will drop to the low 30s, with snow showers expected in higher elevations after midnight.

Tuesday’s forecast calls for snow and rain showers before 4 p.m., followed by partial clearing. Highs in the area will hover around 47 degrees. By Wednesday, the weather will calm significantly, bringing mostly sunny skies and highs near 43 degrees. Thanksgiving Day promises sunny and dry conditions, ideal for holiday travel, with highs near 44.
