Reno, NV – Rain and snow showers will continue overnight into early Tuesday morning before drier, sunnier spring weather arrives later this week. Residents should prepare for wet roads and gusty winds before the season officially changes on Thursday.

According to the National Weather Service, rain showers will mix with snow overnight before clearing by Tuesday morning. Low temperatures will drop to around 22°F, with west winds gusting up to 25 mph. While little to no snow accumulation is expected in Reno, higher elevations may see minor accumulations.

Tuesday will bring a shift in conditions as sunshine returns and temperatures rise to a high near 48°F. Winds will be light from the northwest at around 5 mph. By Wednesday, sunny skies will continue, and temperatures will climb to the mid-50s.

Spring officially begins on Thursday, bringing mostly sunny skies and a high of 50°F. Friday and Saturday will see slightly warmer temperatures, reaching the upper 50s with partly sunny skies. Overnight lows will remain in the upper 20s to low 30s.

Drivers should exercise caution on mountain roads tonight due to the chance of snow showers. As the week progresses, improving conditions will make for ideal springtime outdoor activities in Reno.
