Las Vegas, Nevada – Rain chances could briefly return to the Las Vegas Valley on Wednesday before a dry, sunny stretch kicks off a hot spring weekend.
According to the National Weather Service in Las Vegas, a slight chance of showers and isolated thunderstorms could linger into Wednesday morning, especially before 4 a.m. Winds will shift from the east to the southeast by midday, with gusts reaching up to 6 mph as temperatures rise to a high near 81°F.
By Wednesday night, skies clear and calm winds return. From Thursday through Monday, the region transitions into classic spring conditions with no rain and increasingly hot days. Highs will reach 89°F on Thursday, then climb steadily to 94°F by Friday and peak near 99°F by Sunday. Overnight lows will stay mild, ranging from the low 60s to mid-70s.
Drivers on I-15 and US-95 should remain alert Wednesday morning, particularly during the tail end of the thunderstorm window. While no severe weather is expected, isolated cells could bring brief downpours or wind shifts.
Residents are advised to hydrate and limit strenuous activity during peak afternoon heat, especially Friday through Sunday when temperatures near triple digits. Charge devices and check cooling systems ahead of the weekend heat.
