Las Vegas, NV – A wind advisory is in effect for Las Vegas and surrounding areas Thursday, with gusts up to 45 mph expected. Forecasters warn of potential travel disruptions, fallen tree limbs, and scattered power outages.

According to the National Weather Service, southwest winds will reach 20 to 30 mph, with gusts peaking at 45 mph between 8 a.m. and 8 p.m. Thursday. The advisory covers Clark County, the Las Vegas Valley, and nearby regions, including Henderson and Boulder City. Motorists, especially those in high-profile vehicles, should exercise caution on major routes like I-15 and U.S. 95.

In addition to strong winds, scattered showers are expected early Thursday morning, with an 80% chance of rain before tapering off in the afternoon. Temperatures will hover around 56°F during the day before dropping to 41°F overnight.

Looking ahead, Friday will bring mostly sunny conditions with a high of 58°F. A slight chance of showers returns Friday night, but the weekend will see a warm-up, with highs reaching 65°F on Saturday and 70°F on Sunday.
