By Thursday, the region sees a brief cool-down with a sunny high of 78°F, but isolated showers are expected after 11 p.m. and into Friday. Thunderstorms could accompany those showers Friday morning, according to the latest outlook. Friday’s high will top out near 64°F, a significant drop from midweek heat.
Drivers should monitor changing wind directions, especially in open areas and near construction zones on major roadways like I-15 and the 215 Beltway.
