Las Vegas, Nev. – Southern Nevada is bracing for life-threatening heat as temperatures climb past 110 degrees through Saturday, with little overnight relief. The National Weather Service warns that Las Vegas, Pahrump, and Bullhead City will face major to extreme heat risk, while Furnace Creek in Death Valley could hit 120 degrees.

According to the National Weather Service in Las Vegas, the Extreme Heat Warning remains in effect until 11 p.m. Saturday, stretching across Clark County, Lake Mead, Owens Valley, and parts of northwest Arizona and southeast California. Daytime highs will hover between 108 and 115 degrees, with lows stuck in the mid-80s, offering no chance for cooling at night.

Officials caution residents to avoid outdoor activity during the hottest hours, drink plenty of fluids, and never leave children or pets inside vehicles, where interiors can become deadly in minutes. Outdoor workers are urged to take frequent breaks in shaded areas and wear lightweight, light-colored clothing.
