Mohave County, Arizona – Lingering rain showers will continue across Mohave County and surrounding areas through this afternoon, with brief downpours and gusty winds expected to impact travel. The storms, which began Tuesday, could cause hazardous conditions on roadways still affected by yesterday’s heavy rain.

According to the National Weather Service, these showers will primarily affect Mohave County, as well as portions of southern Clark County and eastern San Bernardino County. Travelers should be cautious of wet roadways and potential ponding, especially in regions that saw significant rainfall just 24 hours ago.

While the rain is expected to weaken by late afternoon, brief downpours and wind gusts of up to 30 mph could still pose a risk to drivers. The heavy showers could also exacerbate flooding concerns in low-lying areas or along already compromised roads.

Motorists are advised to reduce speeds, stay alert for water pooling on the roads, and avoid non-essential travel through affected areas. A continued watch for additional hazards will be in place until the weather fully clears later today.
