Lincoln, NE – A severe thunderstorm watch is in effect for western Nebraska as high winds and the possibility of large hail are predicted through Tuesday evening. The NWS expects wind gusts of up to 80 mph, which could cause significant damage.
According to the NWS, thunderstorms will spread northeast across the central High Plains, bringing damaging winds and isolated hail events. The watch affects areas approximately 80 miles east and west of a line from Burlington, CO, to Torrington, WY.
