Omaha, NE – A dense fog advisory remains in effect until noon Friday for parts of eastern Nebraska and western Iowa, reducing visibility to a quarter mile or less. Drivers are advised to use low-beam headlights, slow down, and maintain safe following distances.

According to the National Weather Service, areas impacted include Omaha, Bellevue, and Council Bluffs, where foggy conditions are expected to linger through the morning. The reduced visibility could cause hazardous travel, particularly along major routes like I-80 and I-29.

Looking ahead, conditions will improve Friday afternoon, with cloudy skies and a high of 46°F. The weekend will bring sunshine and milder temperatures, peaking at 52°F on Sunday. However, a storm system is forecast to arrive Monday, transitioning from rain to snow by evening.

Travelers should monitor updates and prepare for shifting conditions.
