Omaha, NE – Residents in Nebraska should prepare for severe weather conditions on Monday, as forecasts indicate scattered strong to severe thunderstorms and potential flash flooding. The most significant impact is expected west of US Highway 77, where conditions could rapidly deteriorate.

According to the US National Weather Service Omaha/Valley, the storms are anticipated to develop in the late afternoon and persist into the early overnight hours. All modes of severe weather, including heavy rainfall, strong winds, and the potential for flash flooding, appear possible at this time.

While there remains some uncertainty regarding the exact timing and coverage due to potential morning convection, the risk of severe weather is increasing. The National Weather Service advises residents to stay updated on the latest forecasts and to be prepared for quickly changing conditions.
