Nashville, TN – A 19-year-old motorcyclist has died following a high-speed crash Sunday night on Interstate 40 West near White Bridge Pike, according to the Metropolitan Nashville Police Department.

Authorities identified the victim as Christian Jordan, of Nashville. Police say the crash occurred around 11:30 p.m. on October 12, 2025, when Jordan’s BMW motorcycle began to wobble at high speed, causing him to lose control and separate from the bike after abruptly braking.

Emergency responders pronounced Jordan dead at the scene. Investigators confirmed there were no signs of impairment, and the cause of the crash remains under review by traffic reconstruction teams.

According to Metro Police, Jordan had received his motorcycle license just days earlier, on Thursday. Efforts to notify his family were underway as of Monday morning.

No other vehicles were involved in the crash, and all westbound lanes of I-40 were temporarily restricted overnight as authorities processed the scene.
