The National Weather Service forecasts a 70% chance of rain developing late tonight, continuing into Tuesday morning. The heaviest showers are expected before noon, with up to 0.25 inches of rain possible. Thunderstorms may also develop along coastal areas, creating hazardous driving conditions on U.S. Highway 17 and nearby roadways. Winds could gust up to 15 mph, further impacting outdoor plans. Residents are advised to use caution while traveling and allow extra time during commutes.
By Wednesday, a shift to sunny skies and mild temperatures is expected. Christmas Day will bring a high near 58°F, ideal for family gatherings, outdoor activities, and local holiday events. Northeast winds will calm to 6-9 mph, creating pleasant conditions for those enjoying the holiday outdoors.
