According to the National Weather Service, the storm was near Taylor Creek and Treasure Island around 1:44 p.m., with radar indicating rotation. The storm poses threats of flying debris and significant damage to mobile homes, roofs, and vehicles. Tree damage is likely.
Residents are advised to take immediate shelter in interior rooms on the lowest floors of sturdy buildings, avoiding windows. The storm is expected to impact additional locations, including Whispering Pines.
