Glasgow, MT – A weekend warmup in Glasgow and across northeast Montana could lead to minor flooding concerns as rain moves in Sunday. The National Weather Service warns that rising temperatures will accelerate snowmelt, increasing runoff into streams and low-lying areas.

According to the NWS Glasgow, daytime highs will climb near 50°F Sunday and Monday. Combined with a 30% chance of rain Sunday night and into Monday morning, this could create minor flooding risks, especially in areas prone to pooling water. Winds will also increase, with gusts reaching 34 mph Sunday.

Saturday remains mostly sunny with a high of 39°F, followed by a breezy Sunday as south winds shift to 16-23 mph. Rain chances continue into Tuesday before clearer, cooler weather returns midweek.

Residents should monitor local forecasts and be prepared for possible minor flooding in low-lying areas. For updates, visit weather.gov/ggw.
