Glasgow, MT – Montana drivers should prepare for snow-covered roads and reduced visibility early Sunday as a new weather system targets the Glasgow area.

According to the National Weather Service, light snow is expected to begin around 5 a.m. Sunday, with a 30% chance of accumulation and increasing east winds up to 10 mph. Travelers along U.S. Route 2 should expect slick roads, especially through Sunday morning and again late Monday when rain and snow are forecast to return.

Sunday will remain mostly cloudy, with a high near 44°F and winds shifting from the east. By Monday, the system intensifies with another round of snow before 9 a.m., then a mix of rain and snow through the day. While accumulation remains low, fluctuating temperatures around freezing raise concerns for icy roadways.

Drivers should allow extra time on Monday and Tuesday mornings and avoid non-essential travel if visibility drops. Winds could gust up to 26 mph Monday, reducing road traction even further.

Extended Five-Day Outlook for Glasgow, MT:

  • Monday: High 51°F, early snow changing to rain. Winds 10–18 mph.
  • Tuesday: High 53°F, snow early, then cloudy.
  • Wednesday: Partly sunny, high near 54°F.
  • Thursday: Mostly sunny, high near 56°F.
  • Friday: Slight chance of freezing rain, high near 52°F.
