Glasgow, MT – Residents in northeast Montana should prepare for high winds, rain, and freezing conditions beginning Monday. The National Weather Service (NWS) has issued a High Wind Watch for the area, warning of gusts up to 60 mph, which could impact travel and cause power outages.

According to the NWS, Monday morning will bring rain, transitioning into freezing rain by Tuesday morning. Winds will pick up significantly, reaching sustained speeds of 25-40 mph with stronger gusts. The strongest winds are expected along highways and open areas, particularly Highway 2 and Highway 24, where visibility could be reduced due to blowing debris.
