Montana Air Quality Alert for Multiple Counties Due to Wildfire Smoke

Butte, MT – An Air Quality Alert has been issued for several counties in Montana, including Beaverhead, Lewis and Clark, and Ravalli, due to elevated particulate levels from wildfire smoke. The alert remains in effect until 8 a.m. Tuesday.

As of this morning, Butte’s air quality is classified as unhealthy for sensitive groups, while Hamilton and Helena are experiencing moderate air quality. People with respiratory conditions, the elderly, and children are advised to limit outdoor activity.
