Springfield, MO – A winter storm brought significant snowfall to Missouri between Feb. 18-19, with some areas receiving over 10 inches of snow.

According to the National Weather Service, the heaviest snowfall totals were recorded in southeastern and central Missouri. Farmington saw 11 inches, while Sikeston received 9.2 inches. Other notable snowfall amounts include 7.8 inches in Rolla, 6.3 inches in Springfield, and 6.5 inches in West Plains. Kansas City and Columbia reported lower totals, around 3-4 inches.

The storm led to hazardous travel conditions across the state, with icy roads and reduced visibility. Officials urged residents to limit travel and use caution on highways. Missouri Department of Transportation crews worked to clear roads, focusing on major routes such as I-70 and I-44.

Temperatures are expected to remain cold through the week, with additional chances of snow in some areas. Residents should stay updated on forecasts and road conditions.
