St. Louis, MO – Spring temperatures are set to bring a warm start to the workweek in St. Louis, with highs reaching the 70s Monday. However, a shift in the forecast later in the week may bring showers and thunderstorms, impacting travel and outdoor plans.

According to the National Weather Service, Monday will be sunny with a high near 73°F, accompanied by a southwest wind of 6-10 mph. Overnight, conditions will remain clear with lows around 49°F. Tuesday continues the pleasant trend, with highs reaching 71°F under mostly sunny skies.

By midweek, cloud cover increases, and a slight chance of showers develops late Wednesday night into Thursday morning. Wednesday’s high will remain in the low 70s, but breezy conditions may develop ahead of an approaching system. Thursday will see highs in the mid-70s before rain chances rise significantly by Friday.

A 40% chance of thunderstorms arrives Friday, increasing to 90% overnight, bringing periods of heavy rain and gusty winds. This may lead to hazardous driving conditions, especially along I-64 and I-70.

Residents should enjoy the warm, dry start to the week but stay prepared for changing conditions. Checking forecasts daily and planning accordingly will ensure a smooth transition into the spring weather ahead.
