Kansas City, MO – Warmer temperatures and spring showers are set to kick off the first full week of March across Missouri. Sunshine and mild conditions on Monday will quickly give way to rain and possible storms by midweek.
According to the National Weather Service, Monday will be partly sunny with highs near 60°F and southeast winds up to 21 mph. By Monday night, clouds will increase, and rain chances rise to 50%, with thunderstorms possible after midnight.
Tuesday will bring the most significant weather changes, with widespread rain and breezy conditions. Highs will reach 65°F, but a cold front will push temperatures down by Tuesday night. Rain chances sit at 90%, with new precipitation amounts between three-quarters and one inch possible.
By Wednesday, cooler air will return, with a high of just 45°F under partly sunny skies. The overnight low will dip to 28°F as skies clear. Thursday will see a brief warm-up with a high near 47°F, but another round of rain is possible Thursday night into Friday.
The week ends with a mix of sun and clouds, scattered rain chances, and highs in the low 50s. Residents should be prepared for fluctuating temperatures and potential storms, especially Tuesday.
