Residents are advised to stay indoors, drink plenty of water, and take frequent breaks if outside. Never leave pets or children in cars, as the risk of heat-related illnesses rises. Areas west of Highway 65 are particularly vulnerable, with patches of moderate to severe impacts forecasted.
