Kansas City, MO – Dense fog continues to impact drivers in central and northeast Missouri, including Kansas City, with a fog advisory in place until 9 a.m. Sunday. Visibility is expected to remain as low as a quarter-mile in some areas, creating hazardous conditions along major routes like I-70 and I-35.

According to the National Weather Service, the advisory extends into parts of Kansas and Missouri. Fog will begin clearing mid-morning, giving way to partly cloudy skies by the afternoon, with temperatures reaching a high of 54°F. Drivers are urged to reduce speed, use headlights, and leave extra distance between vehicles until conditions improve.

Looking ahead to Monday, the region can expect mostly cloudy skies with highs near 52°F and a slight chance of rain by late afternoon. Rain becomes likely Monday night, with up to a quarter-inch possible as temperatures drop to 35°F. New Year’s Eve promises sunny skies and a high of 38°F, perfect for outdoor celebrations, though a brisk north wind may require warm attire.

By Tuesday, the weather turns colder, with highs near 39°F and overnight lows dipping to 25°F. The week closes with partly sunny conditions and seasonal temperatures, with Friday’s high reaching 32°F.
