St. Louis, MO – Missouri residents waking up to subzero wind chills Thursday can expect a significant warm-up heading into the weekend. While wind chills near -20°F continue through Thursday morning, temperatures will rise into the 50s by Sunday.

According to the National Weather Service, a Cold Weather Advisory remains in effect until noon for much of central and eastern Missouri, including St. Louis, Jefferson City, and Columbia. Residents should bundle up and avoid prolonged outdoor exposure. However, temperatures will steadily rise Friday and Saturday, with highs reaching the upper 40s to low 50s by Sunday.

Weekend Forecast Highlights:

Friday: Mostly sunny, high near 37°F.

Saturday: High of 48°F with sunshine.

Sunday: Warmer, highs near 50°F.

Monday: Highs in the upper 50s.

Tuesday: High of 60°F before the next rain system arrives.
