Kansas City, MO – February kicks off with dense fog and freezing temperatures across Missouri, making for dangerous driving conditions Saturday morning. Visibility in some areas is reduced to less than a quarter mile, with temperatures hovering around 29°F.

According to the National Weather Service, a Dense Fog Advisory is in effect until 9 a.m. Saturday, covering parts of east-central Kansas and north-central Missouri, including Kansas City, Columbia, and Moberly. Drivers are urged to slow down, use headlights, and allow extra following distance.

Looking ahead, conditions improve by Saturday afternoon with highs near 51°F and mostly sunny skies expected by Sunday, with a warm-up to 60°F. Monday will continue the trend with clear skies and mild temperatures, but another cold front moves in by Tuesday, dropping highs to 42°F with increased cloud cover.

Missourians should prepare for fluctuating temperatures and keep an eye on changing conditions. For the latest updates, visit weather.gov.
