Jackson, MS – A calm and sunny stretch of weather is arriving across Mississippi this weekend, bringing above-average warmth and crystal-clear skies across the state.

According to the National Weather Service in Jackson, Friday night into Sunday will be dominated by high pressure, pushing temperatures into the mid-70s Saturday and low-to-mid 80s by Sunday. Cities like Jackson, Vicksburg, and Yazoo City are forecast to see highs of 82°F Sunday afternoon, while Hamburg and Bastrop could reach as high as 84°F.

With no rain or severe weather expected, residents can expect ideal conditions for outdoor plans. Winds will remain light, skies mostly clear, and humidity relatively low for mid-April.

Greenville, Greenwood, and Eupora are all expected to enjoy sunny conditions with highs hovering near 80°F on Sunday, a full 5–10 degrees above seasonal norms.

Officials recommend staying hydrated and wearing sun protection if spending extended periods outside, especially during peak sun hours between 11 a.m. and 4 p.m.

While the warm pattern looks to continue into early next week, no immediate weather threats are forecast through at least Monday morning.
