Memphis, Tennessee – Heavy rain could quickly flood low-lying roads across the Mid-South starting this weekend, with repeated downpours expected through midweek.

According to the National Weather Service, a 60–80% probability of above-normal precipitation will impact Tennessee, Arkansas, and Mississippi, increasing flood risks.

Memphis, Little Rock, and Jackson could see multiple rounds of rain, with localized totals reaching 2 to 3 inches. Interstate 40 and surrounding roadways may become hazardous during heavier bursts.

Urban flooding is possible in areas with poor drainage, especially during overnight rainfall.

Temperatures will remain mild, preventing severe cold concerns but allowing continuous rainfall cycles.

Residents should avoid flooded streets, secure outdoor items, and stay alert for flash flood warnings.

Rain continues through Wednesday, with additional advisories likely as systems track through the region.
