Duluth, MN – A Winter Weather Advisory is in effect from 10 a.m. Saturday to 6 a.m. Sunday for parts of northeastern Minnesota and northwestern Wisconsin, with up to 5 inches of snow expected.

According to the National Weather Service in Duluth, the advisory covers St. Louis, Carlton, Cook, and Lake Counties in Minnesota, as well as Douglas and Bayfield Counties in Wisconsin. Some areas northeast of Duluth could see nearly 6 inches of snow, while the Apostle Islands National Lakeshore and Boundary Waters are also included in the impacted regions.

Snowfall is forecast to begin late Saturday morning, with the heaviest snow rates occurring Saturday afternoon and evening, potentially reaching 0.5 inches per hour at times. Gusty southeast winds may further reduce visibility, making travel hazardous.
