Duluth, MN – A winter storm is set to bring snow and blustery winds to Minnesota on Saturday, with frigid temperatures continuing into next week. Snow accumulation of up to three inches is possible, with gusty northwest winds making conditions feel even colder.
According to the National Weather Service, snow is expected to begin late Friday night and continue into Saturday morning, followed by flurries throughout the day. Highs will reach around 21°F, but strong north winds will create wind chills near zero. Sunday remains blustery and cold, with highs around 9°F.
Looking ahead, Washington’s Birthday on Monday will be bitterly cold, with highs near 4°F and wind chills well below zero. By midweek, temperatures will slowly climb into the teens, with sunny skies. Travelers should prepare for slick roads this weekend, particularly along Interstate 35 and Highway 53.
Residents should dress in layers, limit time outdoors, and monitor forecasts for updates. Snow-covered roads may cause travel delays, so allow extra time when commuting.
