Minneapolis, Minn. – A spring warm-up is on the horizon for Minnesota, but not before a quick round of showers moves through Thursday. After a sunny and mild Wednesday, rain chances return tomorrow as a cold front briefly dips temperatures and brings light precipitation to much of the state.

According to the National Weather Service Twin Cities, scattered showers are expected Thursday afternoon and evening, with daytime highs only reaching the low to mid-60s. While not a washout, the front may bring isolated wet roads and cooler breezes, especially in central and eastern Minnesota.

By Friday, skies begin to clear but cooler air lingers, holding temperatures in the 50s to near 60°F. That changes quickly heading into the weekend, as sunshine dominates and temperatures rebound into the mid-70s Saturday and push into the low to mid-80s by Sunday and Monday.

Cities like St. Cloud, Mankato, and Rochester can expect a dry and warm weekend—ideal for outdoor plans. Residents are encouraged to stay weather-aware Thursday but can plan for a stretch of summer-like conditions starting Saturday.
