Duluth, MN – Rain will dominate the weekend weather in northern Minnesota and northwest Wisconsin, with a potential surprise on Monday. According to the National Weather Service in Duluth, rain chances range from 50% to 80% over the weekend, accompanied by cooler temperatures.

The rain will persist through Sunday, with breezy conditions and the highest precipitation chances in northwest Wisconsin. Temperatures will range from the mid-30s to low 50s.

Monday morning could bring the season’s first snowflakes in the Arrowhead region of Minnesota. The National Weather Service forecasts a 40% to 80% chance of precipitation, with snow possibly mixing in as temperatures dip to around 45 degrees. Northern Minnesota may see a light dusting, especially in higher elevations.

By Monday night, temperatures could drop to the 20s, raising the possibility of additional snowflakes on the South Shore. Residents should prepare for potentially slick roads and rapidly changing conditions into Tuesday.
