Duluth, MN – Northern Minnesota residents can expect a mix of cloudy skies and patchy morning fog across the region today, with conditions expected to remain quiet through Friday and much of Saturday. Travelers and residents should take precautions for reduced visibility during morning hours due to lingering fog. Temperatures will stay mild, ranging from 43 to 53 degrees today, with similar conditions expected Friday.

According to the National Weather Service in Duluth, Saturday night brings a shift as light rain showers are anticipated to begin in the evening, primarily affecting areas north of U.S. Highway 2. This rainfall is likely to extend into Sunday morning, bringing breezy conditions that could impact those commuting or traveling along major roadways.

On Sunday, rain is expected to diminish by midday, with skies gradually clearing for the afternoon. Breezy winds from the east will continue throughout the day, with gusts possibly reaching up to 20 mph. By Monday, Duluth residents can look forward to partly sunny skies, though the forecast warns of more precipitation late in the day, signaling the approach of another potential weather front early next week.

For the extended outlook, temperatures will hover in the mid-40s through early next week, dipping down into the low 30s overnight. Those with travel plans along the North Shore or through Duluth should stay updated on local conditions, especially as Monday’s chance for widespread precipitation could lead to slick roads and travel delays.
