Duluth, MN – A cold front is set to bring mixed precipitation to parts of Minnesota tonight, continuing into Saturday morning. Areas in the Northland, especially along the Arrowhead, will see a shift from rain to a wintry mix and eventually snow by early Saturday.

According to the National Weather Service, the precipitation will start as rain and then transition to a wintry mix overnight. Snowfall is expected to be light, with accumulations of less than an inch for most areas. However, portions of the Arrowhead could see up to an inch of snow.

The snow is expected to persist until Saturday morning, with the heaviest accumulation likely happening overnight. While snow is expected to remain light, drivers should still prepare for slippery roads, particularly in areas near Duluth, Two Harbors, and Grand Marais.

Travelers should keep an eye on road conditions and allow extra time for travel during these conditions. Keep updated with local alerts and the National Weather Service for further developments.
