East Grand Forks, MN – Light to moderate snow continues across Minnesota and North Dakota, affecting travel and dropping visibility to one mile in some areas. Forecasters warn of slick conditions on major roadways, including I-94 and I-29, as snow bands slowly move eastward through Tuesday morning.

According to the National Weather Service (NWS) in Grand Forks, snowfall is expected to taper off by midday Tuesday. Temperatures will remain frigid throughout the week, with lows near 8°F Monday night and highs only reaching 19°F on Tuesday. Winds up to 15 mph may further reduce visibility.

Travelers should exercise caution on slick roads, particularly during peak morning hours. Snowplows are active in affected areas, but lingering icy patches remain a concern.

Looking ahead to Thanksgiving Day, the region will experience mostly cloudy skies with slight snow chances. Highs will only reach 15°F, with wind gusts up to 23 mph making outdoor activities brisk. Another light snow event is possible Wednesday night into early Thursday.

The extended forecast shows continued cold conditions with scattered snow showers through the weekend. Friday will be partly sunny with highs around 18°F, but wind chills will make it feel even colder. Drivers should stay updated on weather alerts and check road conditions before traveling.

Stay prepared for cold and snowy conditions by dressing warmly and keeping emergency supplies in your vehicle.
