DULUTH, MN – A dynamic weather pattern will bring rain, snow, and gusty winds to the Duluth area starting Monday, with conditions shifting throughout the week. Residents should prepare for a mix of precipitation, strong winds, and fluctuating temperatures as winter lingers into early March.

According to the National Weather Service, Monday will start off sunny with a high of 44°F before rain moves in after midnight. Winds will shift southeast at 5-10 mph in the afternoon. Overnight, temperatures will drop to 36°F, increasing the chance of rain transitioning to snow by early Tuesday morning.

Tuesday’s forecast calls for rain, then a rain-snow mix, with a high near 40°F. Northeast winds will strengthen to 15 mph, with gusts up to 20 mph. By Tuesday night, blustery conditions will continue as snow moves in, and temperatures dip to 26°F. Gusts could reach 35 mph, making travel difficult on major roads, including I-35 and Highway 61.

Wednesday remains breezy, with a high of 32°F and a continued chance of snow showers. By Wednesday night, skies will clear, but temperatures will plunge to 18°F. Winds will shift northwest at 10-20 mph.

By Thursday and Friday, conditions improve with mostly sunny skies and highs near 40°F. However, gusty winds up to 20 mph will persist.
