East Grand Forks, Minnesota – Patchy fog and gusty winds will stir up Thursday morning in East Grand Forks as spring conditions fluctuate through the weekend.

According to the National Weather Service in Grand Forks, a 20% chance of showers early Thursday will give way to patchy fog before 10 a.m. North wind will shift south through the day, with gusts hitting 24 mph. Drivers, especially along Highway 220, should use caution in low-visibility zones.

Friday brings calmer, clearer skies with a high near 58°F and wind gusts up to 20 mph. But Saturday will feel much more like spring, with sunshine and a high of 74°F. Winds will remain moderate from the south around 10 mph.

By Sunday, breezy conditions return. South winds could reach 21 mph with gusts topping 32 mph. Expect a warm high near 78°F, but outdoor plans may be disrupted by the stronger breezes—especially for boating or biking activities.

Heading into next week, a 20% chance of showers reappears Monday. The high will near 79°F with wind gusts up to 29 mph. Nighttime lows remain mild, ranging between 38°F and 54°F across the weekend into early next week.
