Minneapolis, MN – Unseasonably warm temperatures will continue across Minnesota this week, with highs approaching record levels through Thursday. The Twin Cities and surrounding areas will see highs in the mid-to-upper 40s, well above the seasonal norm of the mid-20s.

According to the National Weather Service (NWS) Twin Cities, strong winds will accompany the warmth, with gusts up to 40 mph expected Tuesday afternoon. Cooler air returns Friday, and a chance of snow arrives Saturday.

Wednesday will be mostly sunny, with a high near 37°F and west-northwest winds shifting in the afternoon. Thursday will bring the week’s peak warmth, with highs reaching 46°F before a cooling trend starts Friday.

A 30% chance of snow is forecast for Saturday, with highs dropping back to the 30s. Winds will remain breezy, making travel conditions potentially hazardous.

Drivers should be prepared for shifting road conditions, especially as temperatures drop later in the week. Stay updated with the latest forecasts and drive cautiously in windy conditions.
