Milwaukee, WI – A quiet, mild weekend across Wisconsin will give way to rain and cooler conditions starting Sunday night. Temperatures are expected to drop sharply throughout Thanksgiving week, prompting residents to prepare for winter-like weather.

According to the National Weather Service, a slight chance of rain begins Sunday evening, with precipitation increasing overnight into Monday. Areas near I-94, including Milwaukee, could see gusty winds as rain moves in. Monday’s high will only reach 40 degrees before plummeting to the 20s Monday night.

Tuesday offers a brief break with sunny skies and highs in the mid-30s, but colder air dominates by Wednesday, bringing a mix of rain and snow. Thanksgiving Day is forecast to be partly sunny with highs near 38, though slick conditions could develop on roadways.

The extended forecast shows the potential for additional rain and snow through Thursday night, with nighttime lows dipping to the mid-20s. Gusty winds could exacerbate travel concerns during the holiday week.

Drivers traveling along I-94 or other key routes should plan for slower commutes, especially during rain or mixed precipitation. Gusts up to 25 mph on Monday and icy spots later in the week may create hazardous driving conditions.

Residents are encouraged to take proactive steps by securing outdoor decorations, ensuring vehicles are ready for winter, and keeping updated with the latest forecasts.
