Milwaukee, WI – A winter storm is set to bring heavy snowfall and dangerous road conditions across southeast Wisconsin this weekend, with travel disruptions expected.
According to the National Weather Service, a Winter Weather Advisory is in effect from 6 p.m. Friday to 6 a.m. Saturday, covering Milwaukee, Racine, Kenosha, and surrounding areas. Snow accumulations between 2 to 5 inches are forecasted, with the heaviest snowfall expected south of Milwaukee. A burst of moderate to heavy snow will fall during the evening, reducing visibility and making travel hazardous.
Saturday will remain cold and snowy, with additional accumulation possible. Winds will pick up, creating blustery conditions and wind chills near zero. Sunday will be slightly warmer but still windy and snowy, with gusts reaching up to 30 mph. By Monday, temperatures will drop significantly, with overnight lows plunging below zero.
