Davenport, IA – Rain and snow are expected to impact Iowa and Illinois on Friday before warmer spring-like temperatures move in for the weekend. Residents should prepare for slick roads Friday morning before conditions improve by Saturday.

According to the National Weather Service, a mix of rain and snow will continue through Friday morning, with snowfall accumulations of up to an inch possible, particularly north of Interstate 80. By the afternoon, precipitation will taper off, and partly cloudy skies will emerge. Highs will reach the mid-40s on Friday before a significant warm-up begins.

Saturday will bring sunny skies and highs near 50 degrees in Davenport, with slightly cooler temperatures overnight. Winds could gust up to 20 mph, but no additional precipitation is expected. By Sunday, temperatures will climb even higher, reaching the mid-60s across Iowa and Illinois, marking a shift toward more spring-like conditions.

Looking ahead to the five-day forecast, the region will enjoy sunny and mild weather through midweek. Monday and Tuesday will feature highs in the mid-60s, with mostly clear skies. By Wednesday, clouds may return, but temperatures will remain above average.

As a reminder, daylight saving time begins Sunday at 2 a.m. Clocks should be set forward one hour. Enjoy the extra evening sunlight and the return of warmer temperatures.
