Grand Rapids, Mich. – Warm, sunny skies will hold steady through Saturday across West Michigan, but a weather alert is in place for late Sunday as scattered showers and possible thunderstorms could disrupt evening plans in Grand Rapids.

According to the National Weather Service in Grand Rapids, the chance of rain increases to 50% after 2 p.m. Sunday, followed by a higher likelihood of storms after 8 p.m. A mix of showers and thunderstorms may continue into early Monday morning, especially east of U.S. Route 131. Residents are advised to stay weather-aware if heading outdoors or hosting weekend events.

Friday will bring partly sunny skies and highs near 78°F, with light northeast winds at 3–6 mph. The calm conditions will continue into Saturday, which looks similarly pleasant with a high of 77°F and sunshine dominating the afternoon.

Sunday starts mostly sunny with a high near 76°F, but clouds build in the afternoon ahead of potential rain. Those with outdoor plans should have alternate arrangements or bring shelter, especially in areas near Ada and Kentwood where localized downpours are more likely.

Showers may linger into Monday evening, with drier air pushing in by Tuesday. Temperatures will dip slightly but remain seasonal.
