Detroit, MI — A mild stretch of weather will continue through Friday in Michigan before temperatures take a sharp drop this weekend.

According to the National Weather Service, Thursday and Friday will bring scattered rain and snow showers, with highs in the upper 30s to low 50s. Areas north of I-69 have the best chance for precipitation.

By Saturday, colder air will settle across the region, with highs only reaching the low 30s and overnight lows dipping into the 20s. Conditions will be partly sunny, but wind chills will make it feel even colder.

Residents should prepare for a shift in temperatures and potential icy patches on roads by Saturday morning. The National Weather Service advises drivers to stay alert for changing road conditions and allow extra travel time.
