Grand Rapids, MI – Rain showers are set to dampen Grand Rapids tonight as a cold front moves through west Michigan. Breezy conditions, with gusts up to 24 mph, will accompany a 30% chance of rain after 4 p.m.

According to the National Weather Service, today’s high will reach 54°F with mostly cloudy skies. Tonight, rain showers will taper off early, leaving behind partly cloudy skies and a low of 36°F. Residents should drive cautiously, particularly along I-96 and US-131, as wet roads could cause slick conditions during the evening commute.

Looking ahead, Monday will see increasing clouds and highs around 54°F, but rain will return by evening, becoming heavier overnight. Winds will calm during the day before increasing from the southeast at night, with gusts as high as 26 mph. By Tuesday, rain will intensify, pushing highs near 59°F.

Rain is expected to persist through Wednesday morning, with a 70% chance of showers and a high of 49°F. Cooler air will settle in by Thursday, dropping temperatures to a high of 43°F with continued cloudy skies and sporadic rain.

Residents should stay weather-aware and plan for wet conditions throughout the week. Bring umbrellas and allow extra travel time. For the latest updates, monitor local forecasts and prepare for sudden weather changes.
