Marquette, MI – A winter system moving through Michigan’s Upper Peninsula could bring snow showers Sunday night before transitioning to rain early Monday. With temperatures rising into the mid-30s, roads may become slick.

According to the National Weather Service, light snow is expected before 1 a.m. Monday, followed by rain showers through early morning. Winds will shift south at 10 to 15 mph, with gusts up to 20 mph. New snow accumulation is expected to remain under half an inch.

Monday will bring a 30% chance of lingering morning showers, but skies will clear with a high near 42°F. Another round of mixed precipitation is possible Tuesday night into Wednesday, with highs reaching 38°F.

Drivers should use caution, as fluctuating temperatures could cause icy patches on roads. Plan for potential travel delays, especially in the early morning hours.
