Gaylord, Mich. – Drivers along M-32 should be ready for wet roads and falling temperatures by Wednesday night as showers return to the region.
According to the National Weather Service, there’s a 60% chance of rain beginning Wednesday evening, especially after 8 p.m. in Otsego County. Conditions will stay cloudy with lows dipping to the upper 40s. East winds around 5 mph will persist into early Thursday. Though storms aren’t expected, steady showers may create slick patches, especially on rural and tree-covered routes like M-32 and local county roads.
Wednesday’s daytime hours will see a 30% chance of light rain after 2 p.m. with highs reaching the upper 60s—slightly cooler than normal for late May. Thursday looks drier, with partly sunny skies and a return to near-70°F highs, but roads could still be damp during the morning commute.
Looking ahead, Friday brings another chance of showers and a high near 71°F, but the weekend takes a sunny turn. Saturday and Sunday are expected to be dry and warm, with highs around 74°F and cool nights in the low 40s.
If you’re making outdoor plans, Sunday looks like the best pick for full sunshine and typical summer weather. Monday continues the trend, topping out at 75°F under clear skies.
Stay weather-aware, especially Wednesday night into Thursday, as conditions shift. Another update from NWS is expected late Wednesday afternoon.
